At One Central Health we are growing our Kalgoorlie therapy services to build a multi-disciplinary team that can deliver much-needed services to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder area and surrounds.

One Central Health provides a range of allied health services to clients of all abilities and ages. We’re also a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider and offer Plan Management to approved participants.

Flexible work options are available including:

  • Fixed-Term (12-month) contract or Permanent role

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assessing clients’ emotional, psychological, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardised tests.
  • Assessing clients’ functional potential in their environments, and recommending environmental adaptations to maximise their performance.
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring treatment programs.
  • Diagnosing, treating and preventing disorders within your respective discipline.
  • Educating patients and family members about disorders and causes, and treatment plans.
  • Keeping detailed records relating to client conditions, care plans, therapies and progress.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest findings and developments in the international field of your respective discipline to ensure clients are always receiving the best standard of care possible.
  • Maintaining a high-quality general standard of care for clients and their families.
  • Planning and directing programs through the use of vocational, recreational, remedial, social and educational activities on an individual and group basis.
  • Providing advice to family members, carers, employers and teachers about adapting clients’ home, leisure, work and school environments.
  • Recommending adaptive equipment, to assist clients to overcome their functional or communication limitation.
  • Working alongside and consulting with other health professionals at One Central Health as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Working alongside and consulting with other external health professionals as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated achievement or capability in the areas appropriate to the Position Description and duties.
  • A high level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Be proficient at using a computer for various tasks.
  • Have the ability to assess client condition and work with treatment plans.

Requirements

  • WA Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening check
  • Current driver’s license
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Hold a current membership with relevant association where required (e.g. AHPRA, SPA)
  • Have the relevant tertiary qualifications for your profession
