Hayden has 20 years of experience working in the disability sector, first as an occupational therapist, before finding a passion for leadership and management of allied health teams.

Working across the not-for-profit and private sectors, he has explored a range of roles including Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Senior Leadership positions.

Kylie Rigg

Clinical Manager & Registered Psychologist

Kylie has well over 20 years’ experience working as a psychologist. Having commenced in the Education Department as a school psychologist, Kylie moved on to specialise in autism and disabilities, working for Disability Services and the Autism Association.

Kylie is skilled in helping clients deal with issues such as anger management, anxiety, compulsive behaviours, toileting, school avoidance, study skills, self-harm, parental separation, child protection and peer/sibling interactions, as well as providing support for FIFO workers and families.

Kylie has experience working in multidisciplinary therapy environments where clients can access support and achieve their potential.

Annie Schmidt

Admin Manager

Annie brings over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, where she held a variety of roles including Admin Manager, Operational Process Manager, Accounts Reconciliation Specialist, and Business Support Analyst. She also completed a Diploma in Management, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and professional development. After moving to Perth, Annie completed her Certificate IV in Aged Care. For the past 18 months, she has been working with OCH, leading the Admin Team.

Annette Sparks

Finance and Compliance Officer and Plan Manager

Annette brings over 10 years of experience to her role as One Central Health’s NDIS Plan Manager and payroll officer/bookkeeper. She also holds a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) and has worked extensively as a paralegal specialising in banking and finance.

When Annette’s not working, she loves entertaining, travelling and spending time with her family and friends.

Alana Maley-Berg

CEO/Founder

Alana has a Bachelor of Psychology (UWA), Master of Education (Applied Behaviour Analysis) from Monash University and a Master of Business Administration (University of Newcastle), and she is currently completing a Master of Arts (Writing and Literature).

Over the past two decades Alana has been working as a psychologist. She worked throughout the state of Western Australia over her years as a psychologist. Thanks to these experiences, Alana has developed a passion for ensuring easy access to multidisciplinary therapy for all Western Australians. Alana is an autism assessor and advanced positive behaviour support clinician.

In her spare time, Alana loves to travel, write, and spend time with her family.

Nina Shapiro – psychologist

Registered Psychologist

Nina qualified as a psychologist over 24 years ago. Since then she has worked in a variety of schools, children’s therapy centres and in private practices. She sees both children and adults, and has extensive experience with trauma, anxiety and transitions (such as divorce, bereavement, moving, becoming a parent etc).

When working with children/teenagers, Nina uses mostly play therapy, bibliotherapy, art, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. With adults, she also uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (particularly with trauma), as well as BWRT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and the more traditional Talking Therapies.

Nina recently completed training in Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has also become a registered practitioner in Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT), a unique and relatively new therapy which uses knowledge of the structure and functioning on the brain to make lasting changes for a wide variety of psychological difficulties.

Ankita Mishra

Provisional Psychologist and ASD assessor

Ankita is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist and an Autism Assessor at One Central Health. Her educational background includes a master’s degree in counselling psychology and a Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology, both obtained from Amity University, India. Over the years, she has gained experience as a Clinical Psychologist, serving diverse client populations in various settings across India.

Ankita’s professional passion lies in Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities.

When working with children and families, her primary focus is to empower them with a deeper understanding of their emotional and behavioural needs, enabling more effective support for their growth and development.

Outside of her professional life, Ankita finds joy in activities such as gardening and cooking during her leisure time.

Clara Wijaya

Registered Psychologist

Clara is a registered psychologist at One Central Health, specialising in Autism and other diagnostic assessments. With over seven years of experience in the psychology and disability sector, Clara has worked with clients across the lifespan, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Clara holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Master of Psychology (Professional) from Curtin University in Western Australia. Clara is deeply committed to delivering accurate, evidence-based assessments that lead to meaningful outcomes. Her approach is defined by warmth, compassion, and genuine support for every individual she works with.

Outside of work, Clara enjoys spending time outdoors. You will find her relaxing by the beach with a good book or exploring new destinations around the world.

Isabella Dragovic

Registered Psychologist, Autism Assessor, and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Isabella Dragovic is a Registered Psychologist, Autism Assessor, and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at One Central Health. She has a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Curtin University.

She provides evidence-based assessment and intervention for children, adolescents, and young adults. Isabella works with individuals with autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, specific learning disorders, developmental disabilities, and mental health concerns such as anxiety and mood disorders.

Her approach combines cognitive and diagnostic assessment with therapeutic support tailored to each person’s unique needs. Isabella draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and the Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) model.

Outside of work, Isabella enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and walking her dog.

Maryam Qureshi

Provisional Psychologist

Maryam is a Provisional Psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) completed in 2021. Since then, she has worked with both children and adults across the social services and health sectors, including roles within government, public, and private settings.

She is passionate about providing person-centered support that aligns with each client’s pace and comfort level. Maryam values flexibility in her sessions and strives to create a warm, collaborative, and positive therapeutic environment.

Her therapeutic approach draws on evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. Maryam supports clients across a range of areas, including autism, general mental wellbeing, anxiety and depression, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, trauma, and more.

Zeynep Erturk

Provisionally Registered Psychologist

Zeynep is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist and Progressive Applied Behavioural Analysis (PABA) Therapist at One Central Health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Curtin University and is currently finalising her Master of Professional Psychology.

Zeynep’s professional passion lies in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental diversities. She utilises a range of therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Her approach focuses on empowering clients and their families, with an in-depth understanding of their emotional and behavioural needs. She is committed to working with clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds, with fluent skills in Turkish.

In her spare time, Zeynep enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, and trying new restaurants.

Michael Perry

Registered Psychologist

Michael is a registered psychologist at One Central Health who works across all age groups. He graduated from Curtin University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Honours). Across 2022 and 2023, Michael lived in the Goldfields, working with One Central Health in Kalgoorlie while working towards his full registration as a psychologist.

Michael has experience working with people of all abilities and backgrounds as he has studied, worked and volunteered in the healthcare space for the last 6 years. Michael uses a wide range of therapy approaches with his clients to best meet their needs. This includes; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy. Michael has a particular interest and experience working with adults and young adults, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, people with anxiety and depression and neurodivergent people.

Michael currently works at One Central Health South Lake and One Central Health Balcatta, he also provides services via telehealth.

In his spare time, Michael likes hosting board game nights, playing with his dog, going to the gym, and reading and writing fiction stories.

Speech Pathologists

Darlene Lee

Speech Pathologist

Darlene completed a Bachelor of Science (Developmental Psychology) and, more recently, graduated with a Master of Speech Pathology at Curtin University. She began her professional journey as a Developmental Specialist in an early intervention setting, where she provided support to young children and their families. After earning her master’s degree, Darlene transitioned into her role as a Speech Pathologist supporting people with disabilities.

Darlene is passionate about collaborating with clients and their families to set and achieve goals that are meaningful to them.

Outside of work, Darlene enjoys spending quality time with her family. She also loves the outdoors, frequently going bushwalking and visiting the beach to relax.

Michelle Brankovic

Senior Speech Pathologist and Autism Assessor

Michelle has been a speech pathologist for over 15 years. Having acquired her qualification in 2000, Michelle initially travelled to Karratha to work and then relocated to Perth to work in a specialist position for autism clients. Michelle has a wide range of skills from general speech therapy to working with children with disabilities. Michelle enjoys building relationships with families and helping to coordinate interactions between teachers, carers and other therapists to achieve the best outcomes for their children.

Michelle enjoys playing and watching sport (especially basketball). But, in reality, she spends most of her time chasing around after her husband, three young children, three pet fish and three pet frogs.

Bahjo Hussien

Occupational Therapist

I am Bahjo and I am an Occupational Therapist who has completed my Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2022. Since graduating, I have worked mainly in the paediatric sector and working with children and families in achieving their goals. I have also previously worked as a support worker and supported adults and children achieve their goals in their home and community.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach, spending time with my family and finding new riddles.

Dawn Ginete

Occupational Therapist

I am Dawn, I am an Occupational Therapist registered both in the Philippines and Australia. I finished
my Bachelors Degree in 2014 and have worked in various Occupational Therapy settings such as
Acute Rehabilitation, Private Practice, Academe and Aged Care. With the various clientele I have
catered, I am always drawn back to paediatrics and believes in the therapeutic use of play as a form
of intervention.
Outside of work, I enjoy the beach and diving (if weather and/or location permits), being around
dogs and catching up with friends.

Jessica Byas

Occupational Therapist

Jess holds a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) with Honours from Curtin University and is eager to bring her enthusiasm, warmth and dedication to everyone she works with. She is deeply passionate about supporting individuals of all ages and backgrounds, empowering them to achieve their goals and build independence in their daily lives through engaging and creative therapy approaches.

Beyond her professional life, Jess cherishes time spent with family and friends, enjoys a wide range of sports (the more adventurous the better) and finds joy in the simple pleasures of camping, unwinding by the campfire, and gazing at the stars.

Zoe Tisdale

Occupational Therapy Supervisor

Zoe has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Education) as well as a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Dance (Secondary Physical Education, Health and Dance teacher) and, more recently, graduated with a Master of Occupational Therapy at Curtin University and has since worked as a professional OT for a number of years across both metro and regional areas in Victoria and Western Australia.

Her particular areas of high professional interest include:

Ciana Cripps

Positive Behaviour Support & ABA Therapy Practitioner

Ciana works as both a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Practitioner. Before working as a therapist at One Central Health, she completed a Master’s degree in ABA from the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) and received her Board Certified Behaviour accreditation in August 2021.

Ciana has worked in a variety of professional settings providing support to children, adults and their families. Her main area of expertise involves using the principles of ABA to manage challenging behaviours and increase skill acquisition in early intervention settings.

When she’s not busy with her very rewarding work, Ciana loves going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and reading or listening to music.

Jayda Ristevski

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Hi, I’m Jayda — a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Psychology and Counselling from Edith Cowan University (2024). I have experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and a deep passion for supporting people to live more independent and meaningful lives. I consider myself an empathetic person with lived experience, which helps me truly connect with the individuals and families I work with. I take a person-centred, strengths-based approach and genuinely enjoy helping people feel heard, empowered, and supported every step of the way.

In my personal life, I love going on walks, spending time with animals, and keeping active at the gym — all of which help me recharge and stay grounded.

Sophie Johnson

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Hi, I’m Sophie, a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. I have a double degree majoring in psychology (Cardiff University and UWA), psychology honours (ISN Psychology) and I’m currently completing my psychology master’s.

I support individuals with a wide range of presentations, with a particular interest in eating disorders, ADHD, and autism. While much of my experience has been in paediatrics, I value the opportunity to work with clients across the lifespan.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with my two dachshunds, exploring new cafés, enjoying nature walks, or planning my next overseas adventure.

Carmen’s work life focus has always been ‘People First’, leading to her experience in the retail, public service, cleaning, hospitality and disability sectors. Carmen is excited to move into Allied Health, to find a new avenue to serve others, whilst taking time for self-care.

When she isn’t at work Carmen enjoys family time dining out, travel, sports, concerts, K-drama, movies, catching up with friends and facetime with her grandchildren.

Senior Client Liaison Officer

Kelly has worked in a wide variety of roles, predominantly in cleaning, from Administrator through to Site Manager. As she approaches her ‘Golden Years’, she is looking for a change in direction and wants to explore new avenues in Allied Health.

When she isn’t at work, you will find Kelly with her family – camping, fishing, at BBQ’s and at regular get togethers.

Megan has a background in Allied Health and Community Support work. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge, loves serving others and aims to provide good quality customer service to all clients at the Balcatta clinic.

She prioritises looking after the needs of her family, and in her free time, enjoys catching up with friends and trying to see the beauty in each moment.
