Toileting Independence
Toileting Independence
Toileting independence is a skill that a child learns over time, it is a skill that takes practice and is child directed. Achieving this depends on the child’s physical and emotional readiness, paired with parental and professional support where required.
Some children require additional support to master toileting independence. There is a hierarchy of steps to master which advance toileting success.
