Everybody deserves to live a happy and meaningful life.
One Central Health has several experienced occupational therapists as part of our allied health services team.
What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy (OT) is designed to help clients participate in their everyday activities. The word “occupation” in this context just refers to any activity one does day to day. This can include:
- Social interaction
- Leisure activities
Occupational therapy can help a variety of clients. Some might be children requiring extra support, others may be aged individuals who are no longer able to perform certain activities unassisted, and some clients may be suffering from a mental health disorder, have a disability or be otherwise injured or impaired.
What do occupational therapists do?
Occupational therapists are specially trained professionals who help clients in all aspects of life. Using numerous technologies, activities and exercises, OTs can assess and aid clients in all aspects of everyday living.
These activities can include brushing one’s teeth or participating in employment tasks and everything in between.
Occupational therapists can assess and aid clients in all aspects of everyday living.
If you’re looking for occupational therapy to provide support with your child’s hand-to-eye coordination, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, body awareness, sensory regulation or handwriting skills, make sure to book in to see our professional OTs!
Daily Living Skills
Our occupational therapists are trained in helping clients with their daily living skills. The comprehensive therapy sessions will aid in leisure, self-care, working from home and productivity activities.
Get in touch with our team for a confidential discussion of the type of skills you are looking for help with and we will book you in with the right OT for your needs.
Our occupational therapy team is available for both tutoring and supplementary learning sessions to help your child with their education and progression.
