NDIS Support
One Central Health is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider.
We work closely with the National Disability Insurance Association (NDIA) to ensure approved participants receive high quality, funded therapy and care.
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is a federally funded program to provide support for the millions of Australians who live with a disability.
As a registered provider, all NDIS participants can receive health and therapy services from One Central Health.
What does the NDIS provide funding for?
There are a few different types of supports the NDIS may provide funding for including therapeutic support such as psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy and behaviour therapy.
What is an NDIS provider?
NDIS providers are independent businesses or organisations who are registered and approved to provide services that are eligible for NDIS funding.
There are three types of NDIS funding:
- NDIA-managed funding – this funding can only be used with NDIS registered providers.
- Self-managed funding – this funding can be used with registered and non-registered providers.
- Plan Manager-managed funding – this funding can be used with registered and non-registered providers.
As a registered provider, all NDIS participants can receive health and therapy services from One Central Health.
Who is eligible to access the NDIS?
Only residents living in Australia with a “permanent and significant disability” under the age of 65 and in need of support are potentially eligible. To apply to become an NDIS approved participant, check out the NDIS website.
How does the NDIS work?
If your application for NDIS support is approved you will receive a letter regarding your “Access Decision”.
The next step is to create your plan which will detail your goals and the help/support you need to achieve them. You will receive support in creating your plan from a certified NDIS Planner. You will then receive help to coordinate your plan and help you use the MyPlace NDIS portal.
You will also receive regular reviews of your goals and plan to make sure you’re making progress towards your goals and receiving the support you need.
Once your plan is complete, you’ll then be able to use your NDIS access to fund a variety of support and services. If you need help with this process, our NDIS Support Coordination services are here to help. To find out more, click here.
